The C.E.O. Academy, Center for Employment Opportunities. Bronx, New York.
This project builds out a 2,550 sq. ft. leased office space on the fourth floor of a new construction, mixed-use building to create a job training center for the Center for Employment Opportunities. The center provides two 20-seat classrooms, a computer lab and administrative offices for the academy.
Although on a tight budget, the project incorporates a number of green features, including bamboo flooring, recycled content ceiling tiles and all VOC-free interior finishes. Multi-zone split system heat pumps provide space conditioning with individual controls to all spaces. All lights are high efficiency and controlled by occupancy sensors.
Construction completed September 2009.
